Bitcoin vs Monero for a hosting bill

Fees, time, chain privacy, refunds, and when USDT is the boring right answer for a VPS or dedicated server.

Bitcoin

Everywhere, liquid, easy to explain to a finance person. The chain is public. Fine if you already moved BTC through hops you accept. Fees and mempool vary; we quote a locked amount on the invoice page. Paying for a VPS with Bitcoin is the most searchable checkout in this category. Use a fee that confirms in the next block if you need the SSH key in this hour. Do not send from a custodial account to a reused address; use the address on the current invoice only.

Monero

Default privacy coin for this market. NovaVPS reviews Monero invoices manually and normally credits them within two hours. Keep the transaction ID. There is no XMR-on-ERC-20; if a wallet offers a token called XMR on Ethereum, that is not our invoice. Exchange withdrawals work if the exchange lists XMR; their KYC is not ours.

USDT

If you want no volatility for a $13.50 VPS or a $89.50 dedicated box, TRC-20 is the cheap stable path. ERC-20 is fine if you already live on Ethereum and accept gas. It does not hide you the way XMR does. Use it for price, not for mythology. The invoice names the network. Sending ERC-20 to a TRC-20 address burns the funds.

ETH, SOL, LTC, TRX

Also on the invoice page. Use them when that is the wallet you already hold. They are not privacy coins. The same one-invoice, one-asset rule applies. Dedicated and VPS share the coin list.

How to choose in one line

Want chain privacy? XMR. Want a stable USD amount? USDT-TRC20. Want maximum liquidity? BTC. Create one invoice, send its exact amount once on the named network, and follow the invoice status in the panel.

Lightning?

Not required. On-chain BTC invoices are enough for monthly VPS and dedicated.

Can I mix coins on one invoice?

No. One coin per invoice. Open a second invoice if you must switch.

Does the live rate include network fees?

No. You pay the network fee on top of the quoted amount so the received amount matches the invoice.

Pay with Bitcoin, Monero or USDT

No KYC. Configure a VPS or dedicated server, set a password, then pay the crypto invoice.
