Self-host a VPN (WireGuard, OpenVPN, Outline)
Buy a no-KYC VPS with crypto, then install WireGuard or Outline. We rent the IP; you run the daemon. Same stack public VPN brands document.
Order a VPS with Bitcoin, Monero or USDT, install WireGuard from the official quick start or Outline from Jigsaw, and keep keys on the box. NovaVPS does not sell a VPN app.
What people actually run
Commercial VPNs publish the same protocol you can run yourself. Mullvad: WireGuard documents WireGuard as their default tunnel. Proton VPN: WireGuard configs shows how Proton VPN exports WireGuard configs. IVPN: WireGuard on Linux is the Linux path at IVPN. Those companies sell a client and a fleet. If you want to buy a VPS with crypto, skip KYC, and keep the private key on a box you control, you install WireGuard official site or Outline (Jigsaw) on NovaVPS instead of renting their app.
Tailscale install is a overlay mesh on WireGuard; Headscale is the self-hosted control plane. Outline (Jigsaw) is the five-minute installer. OpenVPN still works if you already have a playbook. We do not operate the VPN.
