How to Register a Domain Anonymously (Without Leaving a Paper Trail)
The realistic path to a low-footprint domain: privacy-aware registrars, WhoIs privacy, payment privacy, and the DNS hosting choices that follow.

The four leaks
A domain registration leaks through: (1) the registrar's KYC policy, (2) the payment rail, (3) public WHOIS data, (4) the contact email on the record. A private domain needs all four handled — a privacy proxy registrar solves 1 and 3 by registering in its own name; crypto or cash solves 2; a dedicated alias solves 4.

Запустить сейчасThe path
- Pick a registrar built for privacy (proxy-registration model — Njalla is the known example) or a registrar with full WHOIS privacy and crypto payment.
- Pay in Monero or BTC — a card statement ties the domain to your legal identity forever.
- Use a dedicated email alias that never appears in WHOIS.
- Host DNS somewhere that does not require identity — or self-host DNS on your VPS; NovaVPS ships editable NS and PTR.
Then what
Point the domain at your VPS (A/AAAA), publish SPF/DKIM/DMARC if you send mail, and keep the WHOIS contact data minimal. Renewal reminders go to your alias — a lapsed anonymous domain is a de-anonymized one.
Can I register the domain directly at NovaVPS?
No — NovaVPS sells hosting, not domains. Pair a privacy registrar's domain with our hosting; the guide exists so the combination stays consistent.
Is WHOIS privacy enough?
It hides the record from casual lookups, but the registrar still knows you. A proxy registrar is the stronger option.
Does the hosting provider see my domain?
Only what you point at the server — same as any host. No-KYC means no identity documents on either side.
